Get real the non believers Leicester,Derby,Bristol City and Ipswich have spent a small fortune and are still struggling. Without injuries and sales we could have been top 10.

Agreed. I wish everybody was behind Hill cause I believe we are going places under the two of them. Inconsistent but bloody entertaining.

From the outside it looks like this season is turning out to be very entertaining and very competetive, I can't remember the last time it was like this down Oakwell. A great manager with an interesting personality and not some mono tone boring sounding drone. Before leaving I'd spent season after season being bored to death, finally some spark and fight are evident at Oakwell and still folks complain. He's made some good signings, not spent a fortune, got us playing well and we're not looking over our sholders. To me that's a great success with some of the cash sloshing about in the Championship.

I reckon you could be right about injuries/sales. If we had kept Vaz Te and Drinkwater, and Butts had stayed fit, we would have had a good chance of being a couple of wins better off. Been a good season IMO, decent football on the whole.

But what would the wage bill be? There is no way on our crowds we could ever afford to still keep at us Howard, Hammill, Shackell, Vaz Te and Drinkwater all in the same team.

Only Shackell has maintained regular first team football since. Leicester are a physical team they just bought Drinkwater because he was available only a magician like Hill could develop his talent. Vaz Te will be lucky to score another 5 goals this season he would have developed more at the well for aother season.

Yep Drinkwater was ***** before he came to us, couldn't kick a ball, Hill made him in to a world class player in two months and since he's been at Leicester he's been ***** again ......spot on !!!

Just because I am fed up of reading the same thread every other day?

    Dear Durkar
You are so v intriguing......so much so that I look out for your posts because they are so thought provoking and make me think about whether I am too "happy clappy" or just pleased and optimistic about our future in their (Hillcroft's) hands.
Of course, some of the above is true. The bit about you being intriguing is not. Without wishing to stereotype those who I know not, do you ever think ANY positive thoughts about anything? Think I've asked you before - what would you do if you were in charge of the club? Don't think I got an answer.
Of course DD was a good player afore he came to Oakwell - even he admits that he developed with us. VT also - do you disagree that Hillcroft made him the player that he wasn't back in August 2011?
........ tell me Durkar - (and any other n'er sayers who still don't want Hillcroft at the club) would you get rid of Keith and David?...and if so who would you replace them with? One thing's for sure, when they leave, they won't be speaking fondly of all the support they got from the fans.
