true but its a bit different playing at brum and mainly derby and playing in front of 28,000 and barnsley fans wanting shacks blood.
If they're good enough then theyre old enough. I'm sure Rose and co would handle the pressure better than some of the so called experienced players have done in the past too and since scrapping the reserves again this may be the only way to develop our youth players. It hasn't done the likes of RNL and butterfield any harm, nor did it do Flinders any harm.
But if they're not good enough yet then there's no point in throwing them in Some players are good enough at 17, 18 and 19. Others aren't and are only ready for the first team at 20 or 21.
Re: But if they're not good enough yet then there's no point in throwing them in A lot of talk about the players in the interviews. saying that they do train with the first team and you can see that there is the quality there.
Re: But if they're not good enough yet then there's no point in throwing them in I agree but the players I'm thinking of (rose, clarke, taylor, noble-lazarus) are ready in my opinion. A few aren't but I think they are ready for a few sub appearences at least/
Re: But if they're not good enough yet then there's no point in throwing them in just watched them on lfc tv - stone looked very good
Re: But if they're not good enough yet then there's no point in throwing them in Playing centre back isn't he this season and he's the captain.
Re: But if they're not good enough yet then there's no point in throwing them in yes to both stood out more than the other , rose was a bit disappointing and got taken off, clarke scored a great goal
i've watched bits of it. clark said on twitter that they werent happy about the game. rose almost scored, hit the post didnt he. i like what digby does though from what ive seen from that game and highlights on player. sits between defence and midfield and links play.
I don't really think any of them are ready to be considered first teamers yet, but from what I have seen of RNL, Rose, Digby, Stones and Clark we should be looking to get them some time in the squad and maybe give them some game time. The FL have dropped a bol lock by going to 5 subs, it prevents kids from getting on the bench, shame. I would rather us use those 5 young uns than bring an 18 yo in from another club though.
the 5 subs thing ponty is a joke and anyone who says its not like a certain post on here did then they are a joke too.
Id have had Rose or Clark on the bench yesterday. Both are more talented than Ali Taylor... Digger and Stones are also very promising from what Ive seen, read and heard. But Im not sure we need to rush the latter two. Midfield is competitive right now, as is defence. Although that may change if JayMac goes out on loan. But with Haynes now injured as well as disinterested, and RNL & Davies still unfit, Id like both Rose & Clark to be gently dipped in until the injuries start to clear.. But Im AP, not Keith. So it matters little what I say.
