Hell is consomme, apple juice, oxo, bovril and lemonade. I have the image of golden sizzling fish, hot chips smelling of salt and vinegar and a portion of peas nestling on top. Roll on tomorrow lunchtime
Why do they do that? Not medically inclined but what difference does it make if you have eaten/drunk something??

If the procedure involves general anaesthetic It has to be on an empty stomach otherwise you are highly likely to vomit and choke on it.
RE: Why do they do that? Depends on what they are doing. If they want to check stomach, or bowels then I believe it's better for the contents to be emptied first.
