6,500 wednesday fans, we really need to sort our support out only managing 12,000 home fans for a big yorshire derby is pathetic
The club can take a lot of stick for the lack of support today - the queues for Chelsea have, imo, put a lot of people of getting a Weds ticket. And with the club only open for 3 hours last weekend, for both Wednesday and Chelsea tickets then if you work during the week then you had no chance.
6,662 Away Fans......... and yet still a pathetic crowd. Where's the three thousand missing from the same fixture last season?
You'd be surprised - the west stand lower was nearly empty on the ponty end - that's a thousand or more to start with.
it a strange on, east, north and ponty looked full.... admittedly nobody eas in west upper near to wednesday fans, but even so thort we would ave got at least 20,000 in
West Stand Upper.......... Aren't there 2,300 seats in there? Just wondered; cos when i was younger i seem to recall reading that Oakwell had a 35,500 capacity with only 2,300 seats.
Pathetic turnout today. Dissapointed cracking atmosphere though. we really need something done about our home support.
aye, dissapointing and only got the club itself to blame tickets can ONLY be bought from the turnstyles on wednesday afternoon. cash only. that's why we only managed to sell 4 or 5,000 tickets not including season ticket holders
The Poor Ticket Selling For The Match......... came at a price. I'd say around 50k in lost revenue, based on the crowd last season for the same match.
RE: The Poor Ticket Selling For The Match......... I think you are right - and if I lost my employers 50 grand I'd be sacked.
East was only 3/4 full Bottom block nearest North stand virtually empty except for the handfull of ST holders in there - looks like we didnt sell those seats - also upper tier block above it only half full + some other empty seats must have been around 1500 seats spare in the east stand, the entire upper tier of the West beyond the press boxes was empty - some spare capacity in the Ponty couldnt see the rest of the West stand as was in it but must have had at least 2000 spare seats if not more. think 18200 looked about right to me
when any business treats its customers with contempt........ it really shouldn't be surprised if some of those customers choose not to continue to give that business support.
FFS why do people on here think the club should do everything to please them personally...........................thay have a loy more things to consider than my mate who once thought about coming to a match would like a tiicket, next to my auntie who turns out once a year, if she has het great grandmother with her.......................do soemthing your fecking selves, and if you can do better, get down there and do it, stop whining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
