Is Ritchie still in charge ?

Cos according to some, Davey's addressed our defensive frailties.</p>

It's not goals conceded that matters, its how many points we are picking up.
If we lose 1-0 or 5-0 it doesn't really matter. Our Goal difference is so poor its not worth worrying about.
Points are what we really need.

Surely you've got a better chance of picking up points if we're not conceding goals? nt

Oh right. I see. And our gaol difference is worth a point to our rivals.</p>

    9 points from last 8 games. 51.75 points for a 46 game season. Getting a bit close.</p>

    Correct.</p>

But my point is it doesn't matter that much if we lose 1-0 or even 10-0.</p>

It's winning 3 or even 4 of the remaining games which is important we have to give the side our 100% support and cut out all the negativity.

Of course at the games I'm forever shouting about our goal difference,</p>

It does matter if we lose 10-0 cos goal difference may well be a deciding factor at the end of the season.</p>

But we arn't going to to pull back enouigh goals to make that much of a difference.</p>

Provided we get enough points to stay up I don't care if our goal difference is - 100.

What absolutely bizarre logic. We are 5 goals worse off than Southend. That can't be made back ? What if we and Southend are level on points after 46 games ? </p>

Not letting goals in is very important. It could keep us up. If we finish on the same points. We are not that much worse off GD wise than others down there and it can easily be made up by keeping a few clean sheets and not letting 3 or 4 in again. Personally I dont think it will come to that, we will pick up enough points to keep our heads above water.

    Points Make Prizes!

You can't take it away from Simon, he's given us a very good chance of staying up.

Here we go again, an assumption Ritchie wouldn't have got this many points.

    Stupid, ignorant assumption.</p>

    Barnsley 18 games - 15 points - Manager Ritchie</p>

    Barnsley next 19 games - 26 points - Manager Davey</p>

    Southend18 games - 12 points - Manager Tilson</p>

    Southend next 19 games - 27 points - Manager Tilson</p>

    FACT.</p>

And it is also a stupid, ignorant assumption

that a.n.other manager would have achieved what tilson has and, for what its worth, its still likely that Sarfend will be relegated.</p>

RIGHT !!! I was one of Ritchie's biggest fans....

... but there is no way anyone can prove what the position would have been if he had stayed. It's a pointless argument on both sides. The only question I will ask of the replace the manager clan is ' were you disappointed with the repacement after being promised an experienced Championship manager ?'</p>

    genuine question.</p>
