good , that he has improved then eh ? Leave the guy alone. For god's sake lets go back to the past ..................why?
Thought it was new wine with a sporting theme at first glance.... Goalkeeping genius?!....Mind, he might have learned all his lessons after been down Oakwell....
There was only one lesson he needed to learn How to catch a football. Unfortunately it's a pretty fundamental skill for a keeper. Still, nice to see he's eventually got the hang of it.
Well done vito. ignore the experts , and carry on with your career. Thanks for helping us out when you played . Nice to see you got over the vile abuse you had from us years ago.
RE: Well done vito. Now tell me, how the hell did he help us out? He single handedly lost up both games against Preston and Luton.
http://www.sportinglife.com/footbal...AME=soccer/09/09/26/SOCCER_Fulham_Quotes.html Im sure he learnt a lot from his spell with us. Especialy the fact that we have numerous couch potatoe experts.
you could see he was a good keeper at oakwell at times. He was just very young and even younger to be a first 11 goalkeeper.
It is indeed I'm pleased for him. But "some kind of goalkeeping genius" is probably putting it a bit strongly, don't you think? I think you need to lighten up a bit, mate. It was only a flippant remark in response to a bit of journalistic overstatement. I'm sure Mr Mannone's even less interested in my opinion than you are but if I really wanted to pass it on rather than just have a bit of lighthearted fun then I'd probably find a more reliable communication medium than the Barnsley BBS.
In the end like Ross Turnbull. Mannone was only a young lad hes what 22 or so now so i bet he was about 18 when he played for us, would like to see how many of us would have done at the same age in goal in a struggling team.
Looked good, didn't he? Just seen the highlights on MOTD. He's obviously spent the intervening years practising, er, goalkeeping. (I should probably keep quiet or mrx will be telling me off again)
Thought he was lucky yesterday Virtually every save he parried back out, fortunately it was an Arsenal player there to clear the ball rather than a Fulham player to put it in.
