Based in Geneva, Farpo Lilo specialise in the manufacture and distribution cuckoo clocks, with an international network workshops and shops throughout Europe and South America. The company are delighted to secure a two-year sponsorship deal with Barnsley Football Club from the start of the 2007/2008 campaign. Farpo Lilo will see their company 'clock' logo on the front of the Reds new-look home and away kits from the start of the next season, with the clock showing three o'clock for Saturday games while a different shirt will be worn on evening fixtures, on which the hands will show 7.45pm. Special shirts will be made for whenever the kick off changes for television coverage. The company will also donate a new-look scoreboard for the 2007/2008 campaign based around their historic cuckoo clocks, with a three-foot cuckoo chiming whenever a goal is scored. As part of the deal, the Reds home strip for the 2007/2008 campaign will reflect the colours of the Swiss national flag but will be red and white striped rather than the traditional design of all red. Farpo Lilo have also taken over sponsorship of the Pontefract Road End at Oakwell, which will be renamed the Farpo Lilo Stand from the start of next season. Commenting on the new deal, Reds Chairman Gordon Shepherd said: "Today is a great day in the history of Barnsley Football Club. We are delighted to sign a new sponsorship deal with Farpo Lilo and could not wait until we were able to announce the deal this morning". Farpo Lilo principle shareholder Hans Kloch-Builder added: "We are delighted to be able to link up with such a prestigious football club and hopefully this deal with be mutually beneficial to everybody concerned".
