Back to oakwell I go tomorrow for the 1st time in 2 years I'm pessimistic to say the least, I was a season ticket holder for 8 years from age of 14, I fell out of love with watching Barnsley and grew tired of not enjoying watching them anymore. I love the game more than I love Barnsley these days, I'm not in the group of hating the prem I love the prem and the joyous football that is played every week. But I'm hoping tomorrow I might see something that gets me off my seat once again

Saw a nil nil last year between Stoke and West Brom joyous isn't the word I would go for it made our match against Bradford look like a meeting between the Dutch total football team of 74 and Barca.

Welcome back. Enjoy some proper football not played by overpaid diving cheating idiots.

Just for clarity Glavin is God obviously.

Not being a huge Barnsley fan doesn't make you a bad person. Not coming to our games doesn't make you a bad person. Enjoying Premier League football doesn't make you a bad person. Ignore us lot and do what you like. Casual fans are welcome at Oakwell as far as I'm concerned. I hope you enjoy it and return for more games. I hope we start playing really well on a regular basis and attract more casual fans. I hope some of those casual fans turn in to devoted fans. More fans, more money, better chance of success.

Know your audience though mate. Such a post with that user name was bound to illicit a hostile response. Personally, I just hope it's a good game that we win comfortably and you come back for more. Unless you were deliberately trying to provoke a reaction, in which case I've got to hand it to you, you pushed all the right buttons.

So a casual supporter says hes going to go back and try Oakwell out again today and he gets abuse from BFC fans.

    Nice one

I am no Man Utd fan I just think Paul scholes is the best to ever play the game that is all..

I hope today I somehow rekindle my love affair with Barnsley I do, i was a diehard at one time I went to most away games I could get to before work commitments. Southend away on a Friday night in the cup for example. I do hope that today is enjoyable for all. If so I'll be there next Saturday again paying £27 again!!

The more floating or lapsed fans we attract back the better, as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully, they enjoy what they see and want to come back on a more regular basis. It can only benefit the club.

I was referring specifically to the bit about the 'joyous football' being played in the premier league.

    Correction maceorigtersisdog.

Welcome back fella. Maybe if we dropped the matchday prices we may see more casual fans/passers by return.
