What worries me is we may be above them when we play them - and stupidly try and go for a draw. They may also see the BFC game as last chance saloon like we did when we played Brum - and look what happened. Sorry if that sounds doom n gloom as I genuinely think it's a reasoable assumption.......I honestly think playing them with Leicester having nothing to play for would have been a slightly more preferable scenario.
The more teams down there the better They are currently 9 games without a win (and looking like they'll make it 10), they are in freefall. Rather be playing them when they are on the back of an 11 game winless run and them bricking it.
It's a double edged sword most definately. I saw them at the Walkers and Leicester were poor - sadly, we were even worse hence the 2-0 defeat.
I agree. I think it's silly so few people are actually seeing Leicester as genuine relegation contenders.
So you would rather play a team fighting for their lives rather than a team like Plymouth, Burnley (both surrendered to Leeds scum but didn't have anything to play for) etc who would have one eye on a nice summer break and warmer climates rather than playing the game as though it was their last?
It can work either way with teams that have nothing to play for. Sometimes they play with more freedom, no pressure, and subsequently play very good football. Leicester will be under massive pressure if they come to Oakwell still on 47 points, particularly if we beat Palace.
But sometimes time play with more freedom when they are safe. That's the thing with Leicester at the moment, from the comments I've read on message board they aren't fighting for their lives, more like laying down and dying
Great result. They are gonna be bricking it when they come to our place, especially if we win setdi and they lose again. It will surely affect an already very poor team.
