Hassell and Carbon are in along with a strike force of Nardiello and Richards, I also think the lad Mcpartland should replace Shuker, any thoughts?
lose 2-0 don't think our strikers will score and that's why we own't go up they will target our fullbacks with the high ball towards booth in the hope of bypassing carbon and reid. they will target hecky and austin if hassell not fit will concede both goals from corners hope i'm wrong but we're not scoring and we are vulnerable in air to deep crosses
We need to keep Booth quiet. He always seems to score with a header against us. Seen it plenty of times - Hudds win a corner, Booth shakes off his marker but plants the header just wide. This happens another 4 times, then he scores- the defence just don't seem to learn from the previous 4 corners.
Be fair anybody with any ability in the air tends to score against us...namely because we nearly always insist in presenting em wi free headers
Red Tykes Match Preview/Prediction id maybe play Carbon and Reid in the centre with Hassell right back and Hecky/Austin left back. Id definately play Nardiello, he scored against em at home and has the best scoring record-per game. We all know what Richards can pull off after those 2 outstanding goals at Forest, and hes our top scorer. Hayes is ok but he hasnt scored many, he needs to take more shots at goal. I wouldnt play Mcparland because Shuker and Devaney are outstanding on their day, lets hope they play to their potential on Saturday and are "firing on all cylnders" (as Ritchie would say). My Hudds mate says hes a bit worried about Shuker/Devaney because they have too much pace for their full backs e.g. Danny Adams. Against Bournmouth, Devaney put some outstanding crosses into the box but their was no "poacher" in their to tap em in. This is another reason why i would play Nardielllo becasue f he was on the pitch for longer he would have finished em off. Obviously Colgan in goal Hassell Carbon Reid Hecky/Austin Midfield picks itself Nardiello Richards/Hayes Result: 2-0 to us, Nardiello, Devaney
McParland when he came on on sat he looked like he couldnt be arsed, standing in the wrong place at all times.
RE: 2-1 eo us on Saturday Not likely, Booth will have a field day. I tipped us to beat Bournemouth last week amd I put Huddersfield as winners this week. 11 points from our last seven games Hope that I am wrong but can U C this side scoring a goal ?
Hecky? How can you drop him? He's been the only one to consistantly deliver decent crosses in the last few weeks. And he's fairly solid at the back. Ozzi is probably a better tackler but that's it. Hecky is quicker, better in the air, a better crosser, a better passer, and better at going forwards. He's also becoming dangerous on corners. You'll notice we've been targeting him in reccent weeks. Chatting to him on the way to Wolski's on Saturday after the game and he said he would have had an easy header from a corner if Ant Kay hadn't jumped into the way.
RE: Hecky? yeah id play him. Yorkshire post gave him MOTM against Bournmouth, agreed he put in some decent crosses.
3-1 Huddersfield. question: 7th in the league, will that be a satisfactory achievement? cos it'll be spun like it is. 'an improvement on last season'. get ready.
