Just rang the box office up to see how many tickets we had sold and she said "around 2,700" for a local derby that is terrible, we took 3,100 to fecking donny!
Perhaps people are conscious of just how **** we have been lately and can't face the annual defeat ritual at Hillsborough this year. At Donny we had a chance of winning. Plus Donny was a new ground this year.!
How is it terrible? We had never been to Donny before but been to Wendy dozens of times. We had form going into the Donny match, but tonight we have no points all year. Donny was cold but completely safe and tonight isn't that safe and full of snow.
Exactly mate. I wish we were away this Saturday. I just can't get up for playing a **** team like Palace at home.
WE HAVE Been playing total *****, the weather has also been terrible so people will have been unwilling to commit to something that may not have been on (organising baby sitters etc) ,and a lot of people are struggling with the credit crunch so with a home match on Saturday its no surprise at all really
I'm waiting for the inspection at 12.00, then going down to the ticket office before 2pm. There is maybe a few more doing that as well.
Im sorry but before we beat them 4-1 at home Doncaster's record against us was brilliant, and the fact half of our bleeding fans yack on about "yes wednesdays losing" and so on, you would think we would talk maybe a little more than that? Regardless of what the weather is like, when the tickets went on sale people wouldnt have even been thinking snow would have fallen like it has.
Everytime since 1983 .... yes I was there...(goes all misty eyed at the thought of Ronnie) we have been abject, apart from 2006 when we played you off the park and still lost. It's freezing, I'm skint, our away form is appaling. I've been to every game at Hillsbro between usexcept 2002, I really just cannot be arsed. Credit to your directors though for reducing the price.</p> </p>
I can't wait for tonight! It's a bit of a shame there aren't more fans going, but who gives a crap, I'm going and that's all that matters to me! Can't wait to see the new players, I'm a lot more confident about the game than I was a few days ago.
