thompson deal sounds a bit hasty - based on one friednly and word of mouth?

At least Sousa had a few games.

    Not yet

Wasnt some guy called Nardiello on his way to sign but went the wrong way down the M1 and signed for QPR by mistake

Will only relax when its on the official site that Hammill has signed - Thomson looked OK as well but I dont think he is the same class as Hammil

    I give up

We must have had a reasonble idea about his qualities before trialling him. Putting him in against Man City is a fairly tough test and he came through it well.

If we sign him I wont be too unhappy

    BFC can't win can they?

A regular international comes in on trial, has a very good game against a multi million pound side (up against de Jong and Ireland amongst others in midfield), yet we offer a deal and it's hasty?

I'd have signed him at half time in the Man City game. Just what we need. Adds some stature to the team, versatile, composed and mobile. He'd be a great signing in my opinion.

Hammill is in the Liverpool squad that is playing
Dunmanway Town tonight (West Cork, Ireland).

The squad fly back tomorrow afternoon, so can't
see how he could be signed for Saturday.

The game kick's off at 2pm.

So hopefully he's going to be pulled from the squad or he'll play and sign tomorrow?

    Hopefully...

Darren Bent was on the Spurs plane the other week and got asked to get off just before they set off to go and speak to Sunderland.

Suppose we'll find out more around 2pm.

If he's not in the team then i suspect the deal will be coming to a conclusion?

No wonder they signed him quickly. Any scouts at the game, and I'm sure there were plenty, would have been scurrying to get the lad signed up.
Well done for getting there first BFC . A good signing.

    He's a very good player.

    Quick, and solid.

However, put him in a side with the likes of Robinho, Shawn Wright-Phillips and Stephen Ireland, and he's not going to look like a world beater all of a sudden.

    Funny thing was

He had a release clause which kicked in this summer for about £5-6m? Maybe £8m but certianly no more... but they wanted him in January so badly to ensure they finished solidly in mid table... (doh)
