1. If we sacked LJ now, would everyone be behind his replacement through the expected transition and the ups/downs it bring going through the change over 18 months? Over last 3 appointments , it appears not on the evidence. 2. Will we all get behind the team on Tuesday and give them a good backing to support and build confidence towards a good win?
1. Not necessarily. I firmly believe whoever was manager at oakwell would struggle. Even fergy. 2. Yes. Likely be more quiet because any optimism and enthusiasm I had had already gone... unfortunately
Good backing at Oakwell? The place has no atmosphere at all. All seater stadia, the ordinary working man being priced out and the lack of a decent team to support all means it's far from an intimidating place to visit for the away team... The fans generally will get behind them, as long as they have something to get excited about. Otherwise I fear it will be quiet and become negative if we see the same lacklustre, boring football.
1) Yes but one would expect signs of progress to be evident all be it on a slow basis to show we are making progress. 2) Yes otherwise what's the point in attending
1. Depends who it is. If a new manager comes in makes bizarre decisions, game losing substitutions, drops the keeper for a worse one, signs several loanees he won't play & builds an unbalanced squad then I probably won't be behind him. If I see some long term planning & sensible decisions then I will back him. 2. Yes
1) We don't know if a new manager would mean massive changes. Maybe a new sorry "Head Coach" can get the current squad playing properly. 2) Of course people aren't going to be booing after ten minutes or anything silly. But it's upto the players on the pitch to play in a way that makes the crowd want to get behind them more.
Of course not, the same people who want a change in manager now are the same people who said Lee Johnson was the wrong appointment at the time. I'm not sure who everyone expects us to bring in. There's few managers who are available who I'd want at our club, and the likelihood of us finding a man, good enough to turn this side around, someone else's side, at the drop of a hat is going to be difficult. I don't think we're too far off, okay 3 straight league defeats looks bad, but I feel we've got good players, the fatal flaw seems to be a lack of strength or experience. I don't think a change of manager now will make much difference to that. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
1: That would depend on who it was, for example I would not back Chris Morgan, but aside from about three people the new boss would get my backing. 2: The players need to do their bit too. There can be a decent atmosphere when the product on the pitch is good.
