    Where exactly you off mate? Been twice in the last three years and loved it. Lisbon has to be one of the coolest cities in Europe.

    If you've got a rental car, I'd recommend nipping west to Ferragudo for an afternoon on the beach then dinner. It's in a little estuary so the sea is shallow, warm and gentle, and the beach itself is beautiful and clean. A lot of beautiful restaurants are located in the harbour and they're all amazing value - not overly cheap, but the trend there seems to be for gargantuan portions. We met quite a few people who'd taken the drive from Albufeira.

    Fancy touring New England in the states.

    Starting the year with 2 weeks in Cornwall near St Just. Gunna be a bit wild down there but love the coastline

    Portimao is a dump, overrun with Irish bars. Ferragudo is completely different. Quiet, classy, and actually Portuguese.
