    Nothing worth paying for cheap.

If somethings cheap (others will say too good to be true) it's normally because it's inferior

I've never heard anybody refer to a football ticket as inferior just because they're priced in a way that doesn't fleece working fans. Biting the hand that feeds them will eventually cost football a lot more than it brings in.

Not for me - Russian residents' tickets start at £15 a pop for group games. Happy days!

And in South Africa you could just walk up the day before the game and buy tickets at locals' rates for any matches not sold out. Same in Ukraine.

Aye but in all those countries you've a 1 in 5 chance of getting your head bashed in by a steel bar whilst walking to the ground. I'll stick to ITV & BBC.

Dunno about South Africa, but in Ukraine and Russia, you really seriously haven't. Security is ridiculously tight in Russia for any big event, and in St Petersburg I feel safer walking round at night than I do in Manchester or even parts of Sheffield. Added to the fact that during the World Cup it will be 24-hour daylight here.

You obviously didn't stay in the Cosmos hotel the last time England were in Moscow.

Expensive is that. When you factor on top spending money, hotel, flight, bodyguards to protect you from the locals ect it will be alot.

Cant see either WC being a success. Russia is certainly not appealing, especially after what happened in Marseille. I'll be trying to get to as many of the qualifiers as I can but cant see me going to Russia, if I do it'll be in and out of the country as quick as possible around the games. Qatar am I right in thinking it's illegal to consume alcohol or something along those lines? Britain will lose half its males to Qatar jail cells.

Seriously mate, don't be put off by the actions of 300 (admittedly very well organised) village scrotes. The country is fascinating, beautiful, and by and large incredibly friendly and welcoming to guests. Plus flying in and out between games will be prohibitively expensive. Better to stay and enjoy the sights, food and vodka.

I'll pay for a cheap flight to Germany for you and take you on a German football weekend. 1st and 2nd league...

Mobs of Russians coming into the hotel foyer, going up to the receptionist and asking to pass messages onto the England fans about meets. If any English were in the reception area they were confronted by them again being asked to get a mob up to have a go with them. They were also outside of the hotel 24/7, different mobs turning up, mobs of 100/150 all with their weapons. It ended up with security & Police being drafted in to stop them coming into the hotel and England fans were told not to go out. They had running battles with Police then due to them trying to get into the hotel. All of the official England Fans trip were in this hotel. Buses were brought in to ferry the England fans to the ground and back after the game and they warned about trying to make your own way there. A 3 day trip that cost £1005 not including tickets and you couldn't even leave your hotel for 3 days.
