Who the chuff cast bloody Steve Coogan as Tony Wilson? The awfully awfullest thing in an awfully awfull film. They've **** on the family photos.
Not a fan of it.. It was a bad effort at portraying the Hacienda and the manchester music scene at that time. I know it has only 1 1/2 hours to do it but it didn't wash with me.. imho
But hey if you liked it then I have no complaints.
I watched ET twice when I was a kid and Porkys.......Porkys was better than that short arse mother f***** anytime

What it wasn't real enough for you? Thought it was spot on - took me right back to my rave days at the Hacienda. We was mad for it.
Actualy ****** - I just liked the music and thought it was a good story with some funny bits thrown in. No idea how realistic it is (Apart from the Ian Curtis, Ryder stuff.)

I cringe at films anyway when they try at capture a moment....... Football films are the worst.....in fact any sport films!!!
You know what I mean....... the film is okay and watchable i suppose but not as good as When Saturday comes

I think its a great film. especially the guy who played Curtis. The weak point was whoever cast lurcio as Hooky.
RE: Got 4* in Daily Star praising Mr Coogans acting ability!! Seen it before wnak!! He should do. Coogan started off as an impersonator but he doesn't do it with Wilson. The best impersonator of Tony Wilson would be Maggie Thatcher in an Armani suit. As Peter Hook said "Great casting. The biggest lovely person in Manchester being played by the second biggest lovely person in Manchester". Star of the show is Paddy Considine/Rob Gretton. I'm off for a Kentucky.
Anything in which Steve Coogan has a part always turns into the Alan Partridge show not that i have seen this particular thing though but he cant do owt else.
