Just not good enough. I said from the beginning that Potts was not good enough but people jumped down my throat and said give him time... he's had too much time already. What does he actually offer? He runs around like a headless chicken. & I keep saying McCarthy & Mcgeehan should be starting.. Also Davies needs dropping ASAP. I hope we can change things around and they all prove me wrong. It's now or never
McGeehan hasn't looked any differet to Potts the few times he's played. In fact, I'd go as far as saying our entire midfield other than Barnes and Williams for the odd game have been total toss this season. No support for our usually lone striker, a paltry few goals and a penchant for passing sideways or back.
McGeehan’s been worse than Potts. McCarthy deserves more game time, I’ve not been tonight but by all accounts it’s the 3rd game in a row Yiadom’s been poor. McCarthy’s done little wrong, personally only believe he’s been dropped to ensure we get a fee for Yiadom in January. Up to been dropped I’d say he’d been one of our top 5 performers behind Williams & Barnes & then possibly Lindsay & Bradshaw
McCarthy should be in the side, no doubt. Him and Hammill together down the right looked like they had something, like a Lidl version of Neville and beckham... I’m not seeing too much in Fryers, he hasn’t the pace to get up and down and I’m not convinced he’s great defensively. Yiadom to left back for me. That said, MacDonald has been poor so McCarthy might be called in at centre half. I’d give Pearson a run there though. I’d also give Townsend a run, Davo is the better keeper but is in shocking form and needs a kick up the arse.
Yep I agree our midfield is a absolute shambles. Can't keep the ball, don't protect the defence, don't create chances.
