First period of the first half – Colchester dominated Barnsley giving Colchester too much appreciation Into the second half and it was nip and tuck Then something happened on 28 minutes towards the end I don’t know what it was – it could have been a hand ball Suddenly the crowd get behind the team and the team springs into action I look at the clock on the big screen - 27 minutes 46 seconds to go Thoughts of the day........... We were lucky They had a few attempts that went close........very close Was Ritchie in the dug out ??? Colgan, Kay and especially Hassell were good for Barnsley MOTM………Brown……....number 5.........Colchester Other than Brown we have better individual players all over the side But Colchester were the better team
the queastion i have to ask is did you go?what a load of ****** if you count uo the chances you,ll find we had a lot more than them!
So the tinker man gets away with it again. Why when we were well in control, not struggling and looking well worth another goal, does somebody start making unescessary substitutions which almost resulted in throwing the game away in the last couple of minutes. All 3 subs used had an almighty struggle to get into the game which effectively had us playing the last few minutes with 8 men.
nah nah nah we were the better side. The did some nice one touch triangles but almost everything for them was a high floated ball for owulewmuwhateverisnamewas to flick on. We had some close calls but Colgan did well. We also had plenty of chances. What let us down today was our final ball, pace of attacks slowing down from poor decisions and some sloppy passing. Couldnt believe what i was seeing when Austin simply smashed the ball into the stands when he meant to play a simple pass to shukes! What was all that about??? I have to say our current form is fantastic and hopefully we are now on a roll. 3 points at AFCB would be massive! Fingers x'd Brentford lose to Donny on tue and Brentford and colchester lose their other games in hand. (H) Reminds me of the 96/97 run in against wolves! We got a run going and just didnt stop and wolves also blew it.
One word sorry 2 words............shut up. The best team won. We had 20% more possetion than them and more shots on target. We also scored 1 more than them and got 3 more points than them.
RE: nah nah nah That's what i'm saying we were the better side so why try to **** it up by making substitutions that were not nescessary.
RE: nah nah nah players get tired and if youve got players like Reid, Buns and Mcparaland to come on you cant go wrong. Stop complainijg you misrable get
RE: Two words Marc Richards Not his greatest fan But He puts himself about and we missed that up front today Honestley I couldn't see us scoring with the lads we had up front
RE: One word We also had more fans than them, so what. Everybody will rightly rave on about Colgan's miracle save at the death but was it Alford who missed a sitter after that. All so unnescessary if they hadn't tinkered with the team when it was well in command.
Agreed on that one shows how good Richards is. But if we are beating a team who were 2nd in the league, with our strikers not looking like scoring, it can only be a good thing. Try and look at the positives.
RE: nah nah nah In the past it's been easy to spoy when certain players have tired, but today in my opinion nobody looked tired.
well Howard was on a booking - dont wnat him on a red. Shukes - Run his little legs of all day again - Good to give McPaland a run - Some fresh legs McPhrail - Add a defensive person in there to help shore up the ship Although i do agree to an extent it was risky but at least the defence wasnt changed around. That would have been suicide.
RE: One word Every team makes substitutions, briniging on fresh legs and defensive minded players to see us through. dont understand why yo are complaining about subsitutions. Burns, Reid and Mcparaland are quality players to bring on.
We pissed on them bar the first 10 min and the last 5 What more do u want,**** off and watch wendy if u think u are that astute
