Goal of the season so far, great flick on by Bazza(Take note S.M and Redstar), lovely skill and great lob by Hayes.....
If Chelsea scored that they'll be talking about it for weeks

That flick on by Bazza It was a throw-in directly on to the top of his head, he didn't even have to move and he was completely unmarked. It was almost impossible for him to do anything other than he did. The goal was all about Hayes: his skill and his finish. When Bazza does something like Hayes did then you'll have a point, but the ball hitting on top of his shiny bonce does not a great footballer make. You'd be as well commenting on what a good throw it was. Personally I haven't got any problem with Conlon, although I do think Nardiello is a better option. But if you're going to extol his virtues and that's the best you can come up with then I reckon it proves SM's point not yours. The real stars on the clip we saw were Shuker, Hayes and Nardiello, not Conlon.
It's getting barmy If you don't rate a particular player you're a **** fan. Which is just utter ballacks.
RE: That flick on by Bazza Good points, cant argue with them
I myself prefere Nardiello, but his flick on was accurate so it didnt just hit him on the head....
Yeah, the real stars were Shuker, Hayes and Nardiello

You see... it's that black and white. One fan in particular says that we should ignore everything off the field because we don't know what's happening. With what we have been through we should be more concerned than ever. Not that that means I don't trust or have any doubts about the integrity of our present owners/directors, it's just that it was largely ignored under Dennis and co and look where that got us...
RE: That flick on by Bazza How come Hayes gets the credit for the pass to Shuker for his goal but Conlon just continues to get grief when making the pass to Hayes, for his. You people amaze me!
You didn't But that's been the atmosphere on here lately. Loads of digs at those who can't see what a particular player brings to the team. We've all got our favourites and those we think are pants. I can't see a problem in someone wanting a better option in the team. It's the team we want to see performing not individual players. Saying summat on here about a player can't harm a player's confidence as they can simply choose not to read it. It's not the same as booing someone at a match. This is a discussion board and if someone doesn't like a player they should be able to say so. If another person does like them, then say why, don't just have a dig.
"Conlon just continues to get grief when making the pass to Hayes" Yup, that's exactly what's happening. Conlon is getting grief for his flick on.
RE: "Conlon just continues to get grief when making the pass to Hayes" I think he's saying Hayes gets credit for his pass for 1st goal, but Conlon doesnt
Conlon made the better assist for me, he had a few options and made the difficult one which was accurate so credit to him for that
Watch the Highlights Jay, and you'll see that the ball didnt just hit the top of the head whilst he was stood still....

RE: "Conlon just continues to get grief when making the pass to Hayes" Sorry, I must remember not to use grown up language that needs translation for the kiddies when I reply to these posters in future.
if you watch it carefully his flick on completely wrong footed the centre half which gave Hayes the space
Nope it didnt He just stood there and did nothing and let the ball hit the top of his head
No movement, no accuracy, the ball did all the work so credit to the ball for the assist......

I was wrong then It was Conlon's goal. All the skill came from him. TFP was right all along, I know nowt about football. I've watched it three times and I was sure it was Hayes who produced the skill and the exquisite chip. Bugger. Three cheers for the flick on.
Without wishing to push this You think Conlon made that goal? That flick-on was an assist? I'd say that Hayes made the goal himself by totally fooling two defenders and chipping the goalie. Conlon got the ball to him but it was all Hayes in creating the goal. To me an assist is when the ball is crossed to a player and he nods it in. Seems bonkers to me that you're pushing the argument for Conlon so much that you'd say he made the goal.
RE: Without wishing to push this This is the most homo arguement I've ever had the misfortune to read.
