    Was goal line technology used for the 1st time at Oakwell?

    Couldn't clearly see the ball going over from back of Ponty and didn't see any signal from linesman so I assumed the refs watch had gone off indicating the ball and crossed the line before turning and pointing to center circle

    Yes the ref looked at his watch and then gave the goal

    Indeed , thats what happened , the ref pointed to his wrist to indicate that he had received the signal it had crossed the line. I think its a good job the technology proved its worth as I would not have trusted the linesman to get it right

    It was used but not for the first time. It was used in front of the away end a few months ago too

    The ref checked his watch for one a few games ago that didn't quite cross the line. Bristol City maybe? Think it was Brad Potts who almost scored.
