I didn't think we had either.

Why stick Ryan Laight on the bench and not play him when a defender gets injured ?

But we also reverted to type and decided to defend our 18 yard line against the worst side in the world.

What the **** is Ritchie scared of ?

    Simple answer.

    Scared of promotion.
    He's happy being mediocre.

Best player on the pitch last night - Austin.
Can't believe I just said that.

Could hear the players talking on the pitch from the East upper.
    Not good.

And how the **** did they get over 7k for the attendance?
There is no way on this planet that there were more people there last night than on Setdi.
They must think we are retarded.

    Football is really ****.

    RE: Simple answer.

If Paul Hayes can find an attacker in space with every pass when he was reverted to left back/midfield/winger, then why can't Shuker et al ?

******* w@nk last night. They'd better smarten up or it's mid table. The frustrating thing is, with the addition of an EXPERIENCED central defender we are top 2 easy.

    Richie had no choice.

Ideal opportunity ro give Kell another 45 mins and he did really well.

Would rather do that than put on an untried defender.

So stick a centre forward at left back/midfield ?

If Ryan Laight needed a relatively easy debut last night was the chance.

    Agreed.

Win our game in hand and we are a point away from the leaders - but we are still playing like a team with no confidence, which baffles me.

We will look back on this season & realise what kind of opportunity we have missed.

The bottom third of the Ponty was empty.
    The West stand was empty.
    The East upper was sparse.
They brought 140, compared to the 600-ish that Walsall brought.
And there were allegedly 200 more people there than on Setdi? Don't make me laugh.

    NOT GOT A CHOICE.

Err yes he had. Why ? had Ryan Laight's legs dropped off or summat.

To be fair, I thought Hayes did well there.

He did excellently, but against a better team I dread to think. Anyway, 3 points s'pose.

I agree with the Ryan Laight point. I know him and he is eager to play, he is confident he can do a job if given the opportunity. That was an ideal chance last night to get him acclimatised especially if he has to start on Saturday with the current defender injury list. I bet he feels well pissed off, if I was him I would be knocking Ritchies door down this morning. If ain't good enuff then why sign him on in the 1st place, release him and let him develop elsewhere.

Have we actually paid money for Tommy Wright?

I think he wanted to introduce Laight into a game where we were:

    a) a few goals up

    or

    b) just 10 mins to go

As for Wright, can I just remind you how bad Chopra was when he first started and how good Nardiello was in hist first game? Take the long view.
