Sorry if its already been dicscussed to death... but I still have difficulty seeing why we abandoned the 3-5-2formation. I'm sure Wiseman/O'Brien and then Kennedy could do enough as wing backs and then we could get the effective, dominating midfield of Etuhu/Perkins/Mellis or McCourt back. Players playing where they should be. We can then pass the ball. Playing 4-4-2 means we're so flat and un-dynamic it's untrue. Neither Perkins or Fox can create and the ones who can are stood on the wing running into full backs.

Tonight we're playing a team with a very average midfield and shaky defence. We could easily dominate the centre of the park but we look devoid of a game plan or strategy. Just pain old 442 knocking it into the channels.

We need a player to help link up the midfield and the attack, desperately.

Apparently it doesn't work this season despite serving us so well last season. 442 however, is clearly the answer.

    It defies belief.

You'll always get a bad performance though, always. This isn't working that's for sure.

Playing 3 at the back means playing 3 centre-halfs and that means playing Bobby Hassell - never going to happen :p

Looking at this though I agree. RNL should be playing LWB - team picks itself from there.
