1. We are playing great football and creating chances; the 2 best that spring to mind are Perkins right at the start and then Butterfield from close range. If we keep playing this way those chances will go in. 2. Our team wasn't yet full strength. As well as Gray has played in last 2 games I think Davies could well do that job even better, Haynes we know can offer something as a sub and maybe even as a winger if we want to keep playing one outright front man and Done is also looking good plus Edwards at centre half. 3. This last one is just about a positive; the single goals we've considered in the last 2 games have been essentially the only times we've really looked like conceding and both times through a lack of concentration rather than more substantial technical/awareness problems and I believe that Keith Hill and Flitcroft will be able to work on this successfully. crikey this board is a happy place at the moment, up the reds!
Agree with that and I'll raise you the improvement in Jim O'Brien The cross for the goal was inch perfect, the keeper couldn't come for it and it just needed the direction that Gray duly applied. Good all round performance marred a little by one bit of poor defending.
Got to agree with all that. Anyone know what is wrong with Davies? We are creating some great chances and playing some good football. If only for 2 lapses in defence we could have had 6 points from our home games. We are so close to being a decent side.
Cross was good but the cross field pass before that from Perkins was even better. It was a quality goal.
Couldn't agree more thoroughly, Ponty72. That crossfield ball was magnificent - if that had been Beckham they would have been drooling!
