1. we aren't relegated 2. simon davey is and probably will stay manager 3. do you people who say alan curbishley (for example) for next manager realise how stupid and deluded you sound?
RE: 1 Question no i dont... so lets get alan curbishley or someone like that... yeah he would love to come to Barnsley
1. We are on the brink, 12 points to play for, how many can we attain realistically? 2. Davey to continue beyond this season would be economic suicide. 3. Agree with the Curbishley comments, just plain daft, but someone must be found, maybe Ince would take it on.
RE: 1 Question He says we have a better squad than last year, but again fingernails are being bitten off. I pointed out well before Christmas where is the improvement on the last two seasons - NONE. IMO his time is up, regardless of where we end up next season. Until we get a manager who knows what a goalscorer looks like we will continue to struggle. By the way letting Howard go on the cheap along with his goals has turned out to be a real bit of business Simon.
yeah agree completely with everything you said there. just putting the facts there really... my main points were that we aren't yet relegated (as many appear to think) and that ridiculous statements like lets get alan curbishley etc make us all look stupid
RE: 1 Question i agree he isn't up to it... suprised that people still blame Howards cheap exit on Davey though
What about Nigel Adkins at Scnuthorpe United! He has got them on the verge of the play-offs after relegation last year, plays decent football, is honest in his assesment of games something which Davey is not and he seems to have an eye for decent strikers. Made Scnuthorpe plenty of money by selling Patterson to Burnley for £1.5m, £2m for Billy Sharp and sold Keogh for £750k. If Gary Hooper continues to score the goals he has so far this season then they will probbaly get a high fee for him as well.
RE: 1 Question only one person to blame for that and that is Howard, he believed everything that was written and said about him and thought he could move to a bigger better club for the record i think mr cryne (who is a hero no matter what he does in my eyes) made a huge mistake by saying Howard was worth 10 million pounds in the current market. He clearly wasn't and it made his already massive ego grow even bigger and also if he was worth 10 million then surely he would question why he wasn't been paid the wage of a player worth 10 million pounds?
Great point. Common sense at last. Comes across really well when interviewed and seems well liked by players. In fact everything Davey isn't...
Yes but it was only for a one month loan and he probably thought he could do a job at League 1 level! When he did realise how **** he is which i think was after 2 games because the other 2 he was on the bench he sent him straight back!
RE: 1 Question Rubbish, Howard wanted clarity with other players i.e. Moore and Hume that's why he left. But lets not argue about why he went, but we have really replaced him in the goal stakes from midfield.
