One of our best performances of the last fifteen years, for my money. Quite astonishing how quickly it went downhill for Keefy after that highpoint.
I was in South Africa staying in a safari lodge, managed to get online after dinner, couldn't believe the scoreline!
Should have been more as well. Wasn't it 0-0 at half time when we should have been about 3 up. Other than the 7-1 v Huddersfield (much longer ago) I can't remember us outclassing and thrashing a team like that. Well, maybe Leeds in the 5-2 and 4-1 wins
I am a Keith Hill 'fan' and I have to disagree. The performance was not as good as you seem to be making out. The result was good of course but there are/have been other games under Hill and others where the team played much better. The hat-trick (I think it was a hat-trick) by Davies was not actually well taken. He wasn't that good really but got lucky that day. The Reds deserved to win but Bham were poor and made it easier
It wasnt that good a performance but Davies did take his goals, as I remember, extremely well. Like to add beating West Brom 3-0 or 3-1 or whatever it was to that list of outclassing and thrashing a team on the night and they were a very good team. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I remember after that game keep was been linked to the Blackburn job I think it was back them. After that we went on a very poor run of form picking up very few points. But if we had carried on on the back of that victory hill could have moved on to have a bigger budget to spend and see how he got on.
I'm sorry but that's cobblers. We should have been about 3 up at half time and then absolutely took them to the cleaners, it was a stunning performance. Davies took his goals brilliantly too. No idea what you're on.
Have a look at the match stats here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19615055 - consider the teams too - some awful players in our side so to put in that display was amazing. Video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcckSItfe7s - Davies' finishing was exemplary.
You can look at all the stats you like. If Barnsley had been playing a pile of sh**e then the stats would have been even better. The performance was NOT brilliant. Birmingham were just bad. Their defending for at least 4 goals was awful hence the way that Barnsley looked that day. To coin your phrase I've 'no idea what you're on'. And if you think I'm insulting you for your opinion then think twice about insulting me for mine
