Last time Wolves came in numbers.
Think Graham Taylor was the boss - did 'em 2-0. We need Andy Payton and Occer.

My brother was a mascot that day. My fava said Graham Taylor was the nicest bloke he's ever met. Dont remember **** all about the match, just the scrapping after.
They had the away end and down the lower West Stand as I recall. Red hot day, Payton and O'Connell notched. Think that result made us safe from relegation....
Dunno - I was on the corner of Ponty & West Stand delirious cos we were fcking awful under Anderson that season, with the exception of some quality results v Sheff Utd etc.
We didn't play Sheffield United that season Ooh, hark at me!!
Ah, those games When we won 3-2 at Bolton on the final day of the season, it was the only Barnsley victory in the the league where the opposition actually scored in the game, too. Also, Charlie Bishop scored his only goal for Barnsley in that game.
2 tabs Lil That's what I'm calling you now. One on Barnsleyfc.org, the other on soccerbase.
Tranmere away that season - we won 3-0. Now that was an out of the blue result.

I stood behind the away dug out that day where the 4th official used to stand, right next to the Wolves fans in the Lower West, they were fuming. Remember a bit of trouble on Grove street that day after the game. Jack had just taken over Wolves and was in the process of building their stadium etc and he came out onto the pitch to salute the Wolves fans. I remember asking my dad who the Grandad was.

Wasn’t that the game when the police thought, Graham Taylor was going to be attacked by a mob throwing turnips at him in the ground.
