Doubt it, Dodgson LCB. However, no back-up midfielder on the bench yet 3 strikers; the chances of 3 strikers coming on as sub is slim to none…. Very risky, Neil…..
4-4-2 will get torn apart. I'm assuming Dodgson will play in the back 3...which still feels like a worry
Lopata didn’t cover himself in glory the other day but I’m not half scared if we’re going with 3 cbs, with only one of them being an actual cb. Maybe a tactical masterclass by Neill, I’ll keep an open mind for now. Interesting to see styles back in the starting lineup and watters back on the bench.
Could put Styles into midfield if needed, seen the light with Russell or is he injured wouldn't think so doesn't move quick enough to pull owt and certainly wouldn't get hurt going in for a tackle. Obviously wants a left footed lcb with Dodgeson think all other options are right sided.
I can understand the formation gives us a bit more pace. It’s madness like and I can’t see it working by you can understand the thinking.
Same system. Dodgson takes McCart’s spot as he wants a left footer there. Styles replaces Cadden as Cadden had to miss a game through injury last week & I’d imagine they’re been careful that he doesn’t make it worse. That’s my guess anyway.
Dodgson at LCB a much better option than Lopata coming in against these. We’d get burned alive by their pace if not.
Maybe it’s inverted wingbacks a la Chris Wilder! Anybody’s guess but at least it will confuse Peterborough (based on the reaction on here ;-)
Russell needed treatment within a minute of coming on v PV, and did not move freely all second half. Maybe he is actually injured.
Doesn't move very freely at the best of times for me but that could be the reason as you can tell I'm not his biggest fan but I would love him to prove me wrong.
