Skysports.com understands a number of clubs are tracking Barnsley striker Danny Haynes in this month's transfer window. The 23-year-old has dropped down the pecking order at Barnsley this season with Craig Davies and Ricardo Vaz Te the preferred front two in Keith Hill's starting XI. Haynes impressed after joining the Tykes from Bristol City last January, scoring seven goals and a number of sides are ready to lure him away from Barnsley this month. It is believed Hull City, Millwall, Sheffield United and Preston are all monitoring Haynes' situation as they weigh up moves for the former Ipswich man. Barnsley could decide to cash-in on Haynes this month if any of his suitors make a sizeable offer for the frontman. Sorry meant 5
I can't see him dropping to league one even if one of the clubs is massive, not if there are championship clubs wanting him.
That list of clubs is different to the ones that were allegedly tracking him in the summer. His stock seems to have fallen considerably within a very short period of time.
Shoddy work by Sky again. Vaz Te doesn't play up front. They have seen he has scored 10 and thought he must be a striker.
Come on, give them some credit; that’s not a bad effort from an organisation who struggle to tell us apart from Burnley. Its a good job there are no photo captions of the players or we could have been looking at Foster, Hassell and Larry May while reading about Vaz Te, Davies and Haynes.
Re: 4 Clubs after Haynes....not bad for a player that most on here SUDDENLY dislike ..........even tho the majority on here towards the end of last season thought he was fantastic. Haynes is a quality player..........made better under the management of Robins and would surely have improved even further under Keeflicker.........thats until something knocked his progress at the club off the rails
If the player isn't in the manager's plans It's best for both parties that he moves on. Keith Hill has proved quite astute in the transfer market so far and I, for one, trust his judgement & am quite happy to let the manager manage as he sees fit.
Re: If the player isn't in the manager's plans According to the Chronicle, the club wants around £100k. I was surprised to read he is still only 23.
Re: If the player isn't in the manager's plans from that site................. Barnsley to sign Gai Assulin from Man City on loan, also a CB. a winger and another ST Danny Haynes will move to Millwall for a fee in the region of 250k Also Nathan Doyle will leave. Jacob Butterfield will leave at the end of the season for a fee to be decided at a tribunal. Ricardo Vaz Te will sign a new 2 year deal in the next few weeks but the tykes could be tempted with a bid of around 1m. Butterfields deal to join Villa has fallen through. This was to happen this week
Re: If the player isn't in the manager's plans He's going to Charlton, to replace Paul Hayes, who is going back to Scunny, replacing Daggers - allegedly #chainreactionjustlikekeithsaid
