4 days to the start of the new season and Im worried!!!

Although I think our first choice 11 will be competetive and win games, as soon as we have any injuries or suspensions I think we will struggle.

I know we've heard from the club that they are trying to bring in players but it just not happening.

Its not up front for once that bothers me its at the back!!

RB/LB - Hassle & Kozluk + Potter (could have a big future, but just lack games at this level)
C/B - Foster & Moore -thats it!! (suppose Hassle could fill in but not if we need a full back)

Then there is the left wing, we have Daveney playing here but he's a right footer and not the man for the job. I know we are trying to bring Hamill in but that one has been rumbling along all summer and what happens if it doesnt come off?? Have we another target??

Attacking/Goal scoring midfielder we havent had one since Brian left, we have targeted Adam but again its been going on all summer what happens if he doesnt come??

The one thing that has stood out for me in pre season is that we have all been saying we need a striker who can get 15-20 goals a season. I think we bought that player in Jan and as long as he is played as a striker Boggy will get those goals!!

 

Trouble is Davey seems to prefer Macken and Odejayi. I would be very surprised to see Boggy start on Saturday. I just have this feeling that it will be Kayo and Macken.

 

What's even funnier is!!!

A few months ago the thought of KO starting this season would have left me feeling sick, but after pre season I think he deserves to start!!!

Macken is a last 20 mins player when U want some one to get in and amongst them - should be on the bench!

 

I was surprised that Macken stayed on the pitch as long as he did against City. We all know he hasn't got the pace but he does give 100%. Like you say, fair is fair and Odejayi deserves a go on Saturday. I still think he's better coming on when legs are tired though. He's a handful for any defender even though he might not score ! I think he knows that it's make or break time this season and he has to deliver and repay the faith shown in him by the Management Team.
