I thought you might be interested in this old Video of Oakwell, http://leicestercityvideo.blogspot.com/ maybe not the result so much, but some good old images of your ground. cheers
Superb video! Memories..... we will never see crowds like that down at the Well ever again. I think I saw mi mother!
Our old man always says if wasn't for Gordon Banks in that game then we'd have won.
There's plenty more like that on Pathe News' website.

Cheers.

Thanks for the heads up re, the Pathe news site, excellent, bit expensive mind. I can't seem to edit the first post but the link might change so to go straight to the Barnsley vid you'd be best to use this link http://leicestercityvideo.blogspot.com/2007/03/barnsley-v-leicester-city-fa-cup-6th.html cheers
You can view them on their website f.o.c, but aye, bit pricey to buy. There's also the BFI archive - they're putting a lot of previously un-released stuff for sale, nothad a detailed look myself yet.

For those of you watching... ... in black and white, Barnsley are in the red shirts! I was there too, seem to remember getting given a day off school to go. Remember it being a tight fit on the terrace.
Half day off school to attend - unlike the Huddersfield replay earlier in the cup run when it was a half day bunk off. Remember both games with Leicester - stood at the front leaning over the wall (fence at Filbert Street?) waving the old wooden rattle. Great memories.
Every time I watch these old films with a full house I cant help but wonder how they didnt have mass concussion with all those old rattles going full belt!
I was there West stand terrace. In line with the goal at the Kop end.Gordon Banks made a save when the ball was clearly over the line . Some things never change.
