I could not get the early bird ticket because I need to know the fixtures due to my shifts, after several e mails to the club about the problem they don't seem interested. They have given me the option of paying £450 in three instalments. I have enjoyed the ride over many years but it seems the club don't understand. I have wished the club all the best for the future but as I fan I give up.
I can see why they stuck to their guns, can you imagine the hassle they'd receive otherwise? "Well you extended the deadline for him why can't you extend it another x amount of days for me?" Hard lines mate, but it's no reason to give up on them.
We are miles past the early bird deadline. They're not gonna sell them at that price now to anyone regardless of reasons. People would go in with all sorts of excuses. Sorry to hear you think it's a reason to stop going but I don't think you have reason to complain.
Part of the reason they offer the early bird is so they know earlier what sort of budget they'll have. I think it's fair enough that if they're going to receive it later then they shouldn't have to offer the discount.
There are hundreds of people in your boat though. Students, long distance fans, anyone working shifts, anyone who's partner works shifts, anyone who has family commitments etc. They can't go abandoning the deadlines for everyone with a story or they might as well get rid of them altogether
You should have bought it and got a refund if it wasn't right for you. The club can't move the goalposts for one person, the money saved on a price now will still be worth it, and it helps the club out. Giving up on the club isn't a good attitude, the club can often do better at many things, but on this they have done no wrong at all!
Sorry to sound an ass but that's s very poor reason to stop attending Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
As others have said the early bird offer has to have a deadline or it wouldn't be an offer. I think you should reconsider your withdrawal of support.
Why the f*ck should the club let you have the early bird price? Don't give a sh!it if I sound harsh, stop being so f*cking self-entitled
Did you raise the issue well in advance of the early bird deadline? Maybe then they might have been more gracious - but probably not.
The club are quite right not to let you have the cheap price. Stop throwing your toys out of your pram. As already said if they had others would have felt hard done by who have happily paid an higher price since. It's not like the Early Bird offer was new this year so out of the blue to plan for. On the Early Bird price you could still miss a load of games and make a saving. I sincerely hope your post was a wind up and not legit.
I work 2 day, 2 nights 4 off. I purchased my season ticket on early bird and usually buy it every year before the fixtures come out. It's not even a risk, the ST is so good value that especially at early bird price that it would have to drop really terrible with my shifts to lose out. Surly you can understand it would cause no end of problems to the club if they started extending early bird prices for x reason
