It's the reason why, in 5 years of living in Leeds, I never went to a game there when we played them.
Rotherham must’ve refused the reciprocal pricing that Leeds offered then. I’m sure a few clubs playing at Elland Road have only had fans paying around £25.
Why should Rotherham agree to reciprocal pricing though? Bully-boy tactics from Leeds… they only charged Leeds £27 when they played earlier in the season - that’s reasonable anyways!
Reciprocal pricing means that both clubs will charge the away team the same pricing category as the other club charges their fans. It doesn't necessarily mean it'll be the same price at both grounds. So it could be Rotherham class it as a cat A game and charge their highest price (for arguments sake let's say it's £25), therefore Leeds have to charge their highest price category too, so £45 in this instance.
