pants. Just pants.</p> Only at solid 442 with Reid on left and Hayes on right did we look like doing anything. Too late at 2-0 down though.</p> I can see us losing every game between now and the end of the season. Sorry, but i just can.</p>
I agree we played better with 4 4 2 . In the first half we had more formations than what you see in a Red Arrows air display and Ballroom dancing team combined. The players did not have a clue what they were supposed to do . Who can blame them when we have a striker playing out of position ,right wing in the first half , Togwell ,Mc Cann and Howard all appearing to be playing in the same place and the midfield playing too deep ,not holding the line and losing the ball too easily . Keep It Simple Stupid ( KISS Principle ) is all we need Mr Davey , not what it says in the FA coaching manuals. The manuals don't tell you how to battle for the ball ,hold the line in midfield and escape a relegation dog fight . Derby were there for the taking today. They are not that good compared to Sunderland . We made them look good with 2 gifted goals. I hope Mr Davey learns from today, goes back to basics at Ipswich next week, plays our players where they can best deliver success and stops dropping players beause they have the courage to tell him he is wrong . If 4 4 2 is what we have the players to do , lets have a go at playing to our strengths and throw the coaching manuals in the dustbin . If he doesn't I am taking over against Birmingham ! Freya.
Have to agree Freya Lol! I completely agree, wasn't a great performance but I thought we could have got a point from today. Derby weren't that good, and I remember we ran them off the park when we played at their place. The lads didn't look like they were sure where they were meant to be playing or what they were doing half the time. Don't think the hungarians did much either, and did feel sorry for Dan when he warmed up, stripped off ready to come on and Paul Reid went off injured so Austin had to come on instead! He gave his tracky bottoms to McCann who was cold as well, bless! U lot comin up for Brum over Easter?
RE: Have to agree Freya Hi Ali , Yes some of us are coming up . I am thinking of driving up sunday . You going and what about Ipswich ? Freya
RE: Have to agree Freya Cool hun! Yeah, drove home to brum today then am back up in Barno on thurs cos am off for a week anyway, so will already be around for brum game. Not doin Ipswich, can't afford it, but thinkin of makin the trip to sarfend then stayin over till sunday
Not meaning to be funny but there is a lot of garbage posted on here by people who couldn't tell a coaching manual from the highway code. In fact 99% couldn't even name a coaching manual apart from titles like Waynes Soccer Skills which do nothing other than rip kids off. I find the American manuals over complicate the game. Going back to the original post. One of the first things I said today was that I didn't think we should have been playing 4-5-1 at Home. I was surprised when Davey said we were playing 4-3-3. Neither Reid or Reijzi got down the flanks in the first half enough.
IAppreciate your comments .I think I just about know the difference between the highway code and the coaching manuals. I have done coaching programmes and have licences both side of the Atlantic .It doesn't mean I know more about football than anyone else though . I do struggle to follow the highway code rules though partucularly re speeding , when listening to Metallica etc. Ama good girl now though . Last lot of points came off my licence 1 st March . Maybe w all post garbage on here from time to time . Better than the garbage we have to watch for some games this season perhaps ! Thanks for the comments Coachman Freya
But JC, lets face it. The highest level you have ever coached at is a school team sorry, college team. You're hardly Jose fecking mourinho.
Well coaching kids is a hell of a lot harder than coaching Senior players and Iv'e done both. With over 45 years playing experience and still playing I think I am in a better position to talk about football than some of the yettis who come on here and attack other posters when they have little experience of playing and none at all of coaching.
no you are in no better position than any of us. we all pay our ticket prices and are all entitled to our point of view. I dont agree with everything said by a lot of people but I defend their right to say it on a public forum.
you're in no better position to comment than anybody else. With over 45 years experience playing and coaching it could be argued that you're outdated and your theories were best left in the 1960's.

No mate far from being stuck in the 60s. </p> I did my first course in 1995 and have had to regularly update my qualifications. Its an FA requirement. The FA is not always the dinosaur you think it is. CPD is a requirement of all coaches from level one to the pro licence. I do my next update in a couple of weeks.</p> </p>
