Just had a thought with the current refereeing decisions at oakwell. I genuinely don't like giving the officials a hard time but I feel closer scrutiny and debate is important on this one. I don't like using them as an excuse for anything (we then start thinking everyone is against us and they don't want us in the division rubbish) but I'm just thinking that maybe the refs are been hoodwinked by the, "cuter" players at this level. This is where I believe the more experienced and more costly (wages) players have a distinct advantage over own. Its gone on for years (not just us) but I really do believe that the majority of 50/50 decisions, this season, are or seem to be going against us. Praise here for Hecky, who never seems to have a go and praise for our players who virtually every week, compete against (on paper) much better players. Loving the experience still overall COYR!
This is where the assessor's report should come in. If crowd and Tv can detect a player is influencing ref surely it should be put in assessor's report and acted upon imo
I think Hecky should have a go at the referees when they get things wrong. It happens time and again to us. How many decisions did Manchester United get when Fergy was in charge, just because he give out some stick to referees?
