There are some who believed once we reached 50 points the style of football would change.
So question is, do we change or do we continue as we are in the chase of promotion?

    For me I would continue

I don't believe there will be any intention of changing how we play.

There’s more chance of Taylor Swift sitting on my face than there is of big Val starting to play Total Football.

    I never understood it...
The ‘let em off the leash’, let’s see what they can really do, change formation etc.

When you have a plan, and it clearly works, why would you change it?

    Is this a serious question?

Don't think the system has to change to play more football. The emphasis should always be don't faff in own half, move ball forward quickly and create chances quickly. The method can be a little more to feet though. But carries more risk of interception on the ground. If we're serious about play offs keep to the known formula, and purists (like me) will have to lump it and enjoy the results, hopefully.

I didn’t read into most posts about changing styles once we hit fifty points tbh .
What most of these posters were saying is once we hit fifty points the pressures off and the players can hopefully express themselves without fear imo .

The only thing is, we’ve been so successful the fear won’t ease yet as we’re on the precipice of something very special, so the pressure is still there though for a slightly different reason.

I agree, however i thought we were already off the leash. These players seem to already play without fear and just get out there and give it 100%. Ill be surprised if we see anything different. I am presuming if big Vals first step was 50pts asap, he will have a next step to work on.

Think it’s a different fear falling from high to lower mid table than falling into a relegation dogfight though imo .

Fighting to get the 50 points target at the right end of the table instead of being in the thick of the strugglers helps with that imo .
The strategy and intense won’t change and the fear from the players will be from Val if they don’t perform lol.

I think we have to change against the better teams (those above us) but only to get the ball down in midfield and move it quickly without hitting hopeful balls up to the front 3.

Our record against the teams above us is so poor precisely because we give it away too quickly and don't make good use of it. Give them enough possession and they'll eventually make it count.

Apart from that just keep playing the same way. The stats don't lie..

Results against teams below us in the table since Val took over:

    P 18
    W 14
    D 2
    L 2

If we had reached safety with nothing to play for and only a handful of games to play, then yeah, try new things and give a few fringe players a go.

Thing is no one really expected us to be safe with a third of the season still to play and sat just outside the top 6 with a game in hand, in which case we simply must carry on doing what’s been successful.

It would be bonkers to change anything.

I'm more than happy to accept Valerien's way of doing things than anyone else.
As a footnote, Taylor Swift actually follows Laura on a social media site. I'll ask Laura to pass on your appreciation of Taylor's 'abilities' if you like?:D
