52 points have been sufficient to survive in the third tier every season this century. In 8 of the 14 seasons, less than 50 points were needed, with the lowest being 44. 17 points out of a possible 48, i.e. W5, D2, L9. Surely we can manage that?!?
Do you know a manager with that sort of win percentage... Someone with experience. Who knows this league. Who loves this club. I'm struggling to think.
Isn't it f*****g depressing that we're even discussing the required points total to survive in this League One! A very poor League One as well by the way, where even the top sides are no great shakes in my opinion. (A decent side would have won our game at MK Dons from what I saw).
I can think of somebody, the perfect man for the job. Oh **** hang on a minute, forget I said anything.
But IF we do stay up, it might be better to have a new manager in who is actually motivating the players and trying to give us a real playing style..? Just trying to think of the positives. This might be bad in short term and good in long term
