6 Points.

    4th Place.

    That will do for me.

While not playing particularly well in either game, the Reds have defended resolutely against both Preston and Blackpool and come away with 6 points, leaving us 4th in the Championship.

Last night wasn't pretty, but we got 3 points. Blackpool dominated proceedings for large chunks of the game, but they never caused us any problems - even the goal was a mistake from Muller. The Reds defence looked comfortable, exactly as we did on Saturday with the opposition getting to our 18 yard line and running out of ideas after 20 minutes.

Our midfield is lacking, JCR tends to be starting the first half slowly and coming into it by the middle of the 2nd - he needs to start off like an house on fire, he CAN beat players - thats a given. Devaney looked sluggish last night - come on Martin, improve. The midfield can't solely be blamed however - the distribution from the defence is very poor at times, by passing the midfield ALOT of the time and going straight for Istvan who looks to have lost the abilitly to jump (except when the ball is in the box).

I hate moaning, but I did last night - one thing I didn't do and have never done however is boo - not on, after picking up 6 points - what more do the fans want...to play exceptionally well and lose? No, precisely - get behind them you idiots.

    UP THE REDS!

"JCR can beat players thats a given"

What do you base this assumption, I reckon he is averaging less than one beating a game since he joined us. Most of the ones he has done were in the 1st game against Stoke.

Do you go with your eyes shut , I think he got the ball in once last night.

What games have you seen him beating his man consitently.

Even when he had the chance to run with the ball last night without an oppo near him . he made a b-line for the nearest Blackpool player in order to run into him.

This isn't about JCR. My post wasn't about that.

    But,

He's beaten men for Rotherham, Charlton, Southend, Jamaica - he CAN do it, that's what he get's paid to do - he just needs to show us more. And no, sir, I don't go with my eyes shut. Facetious, aren't you? I like that.

I'm sure you people like to pick out the parts where you can just rant on, do you have anything better to do than moan?

Your post was only de-constructive to my initial one.

See, I'm all negative and upset now - your supposed to keep the thread positive :)

Sorry I didnt go to the Cardiff game.

I reckon JCR could well be the new Chris Shuker , as he only seems to beat players when I am not there.
