Was purchasing for a family member down at the box office at dinnertime and chap in front asked what the sales were like and 6,500 sold was the reply hoping to get near 7,000 by end of play today by the lady behind the counter.

Todays press conference was very underwhelming. They had chance to plan this for a good time and make some really positive comments to the fans and was a chance to roll out the red carpet, a new broom, a new fanfare and a clear intention of plans, line in the sand etc etc should have been shouting from the roof tops, a statement of how we intend to be moving forward, but instead we got no clear picture and still more unanswered questions. Underwhelming is an understatement and still feel in the dark and info is being withheld.

Judge us by our actions the new chairman in his lovely scarf preached to us the other day, well the first job he needs to do is get the CEO to stop mumbling under his breath and tell us the plans for the investors who the American lady is representing. Has the business model changed in reality ? How do they intend to force out the people who have destroyed our club ?

Archerfield nailed it the other day in his post, is this a just shuffle of the boardroom chairs to increase season ticket sales ? comments from today told us nothing and by the sounds of it the budget monies they discussed did not sound like a club who has plans and the ambition to be a even top six league one side.

Something does not add up here and still lots of questions not being answered with a straight bat for me and still we have no manager in place.............a lot of words but still in the dark on some of the burning topics.

They'll do me for a board of owners. We wanted our family club back and that is what we've got. They have been thrust into this role after realising that the professional corporate bullship is just that.
Please have some patience. Our people are driven by the right motives. Let's not dive in with criticism.

Which questions, and which burning topics? Genuine question.

To be fair we've just got relegated after one of our worst ever seasons, have a pretty large debt to service, we're still to set a new coach on, the squad is unbalanced and the playing budget is likely to be the worst we've had for many a year.
I wouldn't expect the new board to be making any rash statements about next season. I think they've been thrust into a situation where none of them are very comfortable in the limelight either. It'd help if we had a decent CEO instead of the waste of space Khaled.
It's going to be a difficult season in L1 and I'd take mid table now if offered. 6500 ST sales is better than I feared early in the summer but hardly enough to fund a promotion push.
Let's hope the new board finds their feet through next season and enough trust builds back up to get in some pay on the day punters too.

Time’s a healer and fans are very fickle. If we get off to a good start, half season tickets for 2nd half of season might be a good option

We got told at the fans forum by Andrew Clark that the total season ticket sales are across all classes which means 6500 includes kids at a tenner...so it's not as roses as it seems

I imagined it would to be fair. Realistically be looking at 7k maximum home fans with a few POTD punters.
The head coach and recruitment team have a tough job putting a decent squad together this summer.

If it is a good, reliable and well known person then players may be tempted to stay.
If it's Johan Bloggs from some Austro-Hungarian kids team then they'll be off.

True but last season when we had good season ticket sales that also included kids tickets & probably a lot more of them last year than this , so it is all proportional , we are about 40% down at this current time.

Players will be moved on for the right price if contracts are running out. And aren't prepared to extend if offered.
If a new offer is put on the table some will try their luck elsewhere. As I see it being a lot less than what they may be on now.
Also market values of players will have dropped significantly. so we ain't going to get what people may think. But that also applies to other clubs and incoming signings.

I think we know from the presser that euro managers are off the table

Well I didn't renew. First time in adult lifetime I haven't got one. Very nearly did renew last night. Followed my head and it feels like the sensible thing to do. Feels so strange thinking my seat is available now.

It's more sold than a lot on here thought there would be when figures of 3k or 4k were talked of. Football fans tend to forget bad stuff more if the team is winning. So if we bring in a head coach who gets us winning regularly like Stendel did at this level, people will soon be back.

On the whole you are right. However for me personally if I can't get a seat around where I was and the people I know then I wouldn't. That's why it's been such a huge decision not to renew.

    What about a new slogan:

Gally, do you know what Julie Anne Quay had to say yesterday? Given that she effectively holds the balance of power I'd be very interested on how she came across.

I think 6500 season ticket sales is quite good, considering the current increased cost of living for most people. Obviously, I understand why the club would have liked more,to help with financial planning but the average persons outgoings are projected to increase significantly. Including me and Mrs K, such as £800 extra on our energy bill, for using less. I think the economic and financial implications of this government's policies, we haven't felt or seen the full impact yet. They may change their leader and strategy in the future, which could lessen it a bit.
