We could learn a thing or two about working the transfer market from other clubs of a similar size. Good business can be achieved by clubs our size.
Burnley are not same as us though they've been on the premier league cash cow the last 3 years or so,
I think their parachute payments ended last season so this year they are back in the same boat as us so the principle is the same and they stood their ground and demanded what they believed to be a reasonable amount for one of their better players. I'm not in the habit of criticising BFC but where transfers are concerned I am fed up of us getting mugged.
I don't think he was awful when he was with us, he just didn't look that threatening. This alone should be enough to make Barnsley fans realise that young kids need time to find their feet. Just because he wasn't amazing when he first played it doesn't mean he won't get any better. Just because Rooney made it at 16 we think players are ***** if they haven't scored 20 goals in their first season.
