It Goes To Show What Some Proper Publicity Will Do We could end up taking more than the 900 plus we took for the important league game in April.
What time should the coaches get to Southend? Both times I've gone on the supporters coach the drivers stopped at a Service Station and waited 45 minutes so that he got to the ground no earlier than 45 minutes or less before the game! A few people mentioned last year they missed the kick off because of this. At the moment a mate is driving down for us.
RE: It Goes To Show What Some Proper Publicity Will Do Bear in mind that, although I'm sure there a number of people who wouldn't have gone otherwise, the numbers also probably include quite a few people who would normally drive but will take advantage of the free travel.
I believe the official coaches last season (with an half hour stop), got to the ground for 1:45 pm. They also decided to stop on the way back and got to the ground around 10:30 pm.
RE: It Goes To Show What Some Proper Publicity Will Do mate driving the rotherham reds down in mini bus and stopping over looking foward to a good nite
Got a way to go yet 7 coaches is approx 350 people, very few people travelling from Barnsley will be going by any other form of transport than the free coaches.
I heard that Barnsley fans that live down South (London area, Essex) could add around 300 fans on the gate. Someone mentioned it was in a paper last week, personally I thought it was a little high
We do have a vast number of fans based down south (as this board shows). Although 300 does seem a little high.
Oh I'm not doubting we have plenty of fans living down South, just the number quoted did seem higher than what I would expect.
Can't compare... ...travelling time on a saturday with the Friday 'rush hour'. If they go via the M25 they'll be struggling to get there for the kick off.
RE: Can't compare... Yeah they should be setting off 1-1:30 to make sure. Will the ref delay kick off if coaches haven't all arrived (chinny) (chinny) (chinny)
It's our own fault for not living in Barnsley, as I was told regarding Newcastle tickets for the League Cup match, it wasn't their problem!
50 of "us"? In that are you counting American ringers wearingpast BFChome shirts (all with Nardiello 23 on the back)?
