Listened to match .how much did ref want Charlton to win .yellow cards and iffy free kick to compound it. Danny pinnious another injury worry.
No option. 2 footed tackle on Pinillos from a player already on a yellow. Might have even deserved a straight red.
6 bookings so call it three minutes half a minute each. 6 subs so half a minute each call it another three minutes. Two serious stoppages one for each side. Thiam crawling pace to leave the field which their number 12 spoke to the ref about. 1 goal. Then within the seven minutes was a sending off, injury stoppage and a yellow for us. Was actually expecting another minute or so to be played when he blew.
The match ended at 17:02 with 10 minutes added. Now you can talk about yellow cards and subs all you like but 99% of the time that doesnt make the slightest difference. He wanted Charlton to get an equaliser. Kn0b
His match decisions were poor but seven minutes injury time and what he added on for what happened during that time seemed right.
The paramedics were up and down four or five times plus all the substitutions. Thiam took 4 minutes to walk 20 yards off the pitch. One injury was a head injury curiously cured by rubbing the Charlton player's ankle.
I wish that'd worked on my agent's head after it collided with the pavement. The paramedics were very jolly about having to get up and down so many times today.
Fumbling for each yellow card for 30 seconds? No way was 3 minutes taken up by blookings. Woodrow’s for example probably took half a second. He actually played 9 minutes 34 seconds, which was a ridiculously overinflated amount of stoppage time.
A yellow card doesn't take seconds. He's to get the card out, talk to the player about it and sort out the free kick. Stendel should look at our own time wasting instead of our fans blaming the ref. He made some terrible decisions but injury time wasn't one of them. Our subs took forever to get off the pitch and Davies time wastes every single game and Charlton fans were clued up on it enough to let the ref know by counting loudly how long he was taking.
I don't think Davies was really time wasting yesterday, he didn't need to because until bahre went off we were murdering them. They don't have to add every second on for free kicks just because a player is booked, it's the sctuaabooking that matters not the freekick otherwise he have to add time on every single time he blew his whistew
The fa brought in a rule a few years ago there each booking was 30 seconds as you say plus subs at 30 seconds etc. Study quickly realised how stupid that was and that these things don't take anywhere near that amount of time and removed the rule for that exact reason. So basically your logic is flawed and proven incorrect by the day's trial which they backtracked on
Not seen anything about a study but with our goal celebrations if only half a minute was added on for both we got lucky in the first half. Potts ran half the length of the pitch to celebrate and Thiam did his customary moves.
