2 more wins equals our best ever number from when Bassett was in charge. We've won less away in 2 consecutive seasons recently at this level.
I remember in recent times when you may as well not even bother tuning in, as a defeat was as inevitable as having a morning turd. Where the club is at the moment and how it is performing is outstanding - in many ways it is performing beyond expectations more so than 94/95/96/97/98 because there is just so much money swilling around these days in this league.
I've had this conversation with a few that think our default place is this league, just because we have spent so much time here, but it's simply not true. We really have to earn our place here now and it's a totally different financial environment to what it was when we went to the prem. Yes thats 7 totally spanking away wins, oohh matron I remember the dark days of just giving up and accepting one away defeat after another, because we were so used to it happening. (although I still do the same now when we're at Qpr & Cov!)
Going pretty well with the clean sheets too. I seem to recall long periods of clean sheet droughts BH (Before Hecky).
