...plus added time since we last scored at home. In that time I think we hit the bar once but other than that, I don't recall any opposition keeper making a worthwhile save. Says it all really.
There's a lot of vitriol and bile on here about individuals right now but that Sir is the stark truth. I don't know whether it's that the players aren't good enough or the tactics or both. All I know is it's totally depressing. Think now we are virtually down I'd rather have seen us go hell for leather and lose these games 5-3 and go out with a bang rather than a dull, dull whimper. Alcohol is calling.......
1_0 down in second half Leeds get a corner every reds player back till crowd demanded otherwise. Says it all for me
Love for someone to go find out the last time we went five home games in a row without scoring and post a link to it. It must be decades ago. Wilson's team are breaking records for all the wrong reasons. In those five games I don't recall any keeper having to make a decent save. The most work Butland did all afternoon was applauding our fans before the game.
According to Barnsley historian David Wood on twitter......."5 home games without a goal is our joint worst sequence shared with the run in to our relegation in 1958-9". Not looking good then!
We were on about this in the pub. When we beat Forest 1-0 on March 8th we didn't realise it was out last goal at home of the season (unless we score in the dead rubber game against QPR). I don't go away any more, unless it's somewhere I've never been, so I've watched the last 5 matches at home and the Bolton match on t'internet and I can't remember ever seeing 6 games on the trot where we didn't score. Pathetic. We deserve to go down. In fact, I can't remember many shots on target in that run.
