It's a shame that we're looking downwards with trepidation rather than around us at the other promotion hopefuls.There's now no doubtthat we depended too heavily on our loan signings. It would be nice to think that the powers that be, looking at our situation a few games ago, would have gone that extra yard and taken a punt on the &pound;60m prize but it seems that, having gained a mid-term mid-table position, we're happy to set our sights only on survival. I think this is the reason the floating fans didn't flood back, they knew we'd fail to capitalise on that good start.</p>

I seem to recall expressing my doubts about a reliance on loan signings earlier in the season! I'd like to say I told you so....there I've said it!
