8 wins is a big ask. Looking at the remaining fixtures they will have to come from Walsall, Oldham, Leyton Orient, Chesterfield, Notts County, Rochdale and one of either Peterborough or Bradford. Means we will lose to Preston, Bristol City, Sheff Utd and either Peterborough or Bradford. I'm sure that's exactly how it will work out as well...!
Losing to teams around us would obviously have a bigger impact than those at the bottom. Couple of teams have games in hand which could push us down quite soon if we stop winning
We're 2pts off the pace so for us to need that many wins means the other teams up there also have to win that many. No reason why we can't if we believe they can.
Beyond the top 4 the league is much of a muchness. We could carry on the momentum we have going alternatively we could just as easily lose 3/4 games on the trot.
Just thinking the same myself. I don't think any of us will win that many. None of us have through the rest of the season. 5 wins and a few draws might be enough.
Unbeaten until the end of the season...........anybody......or am i living in a dream state.....lol.....
not a chance. lovely idea though. based on recent years, it's looking like 24-27 points to make top 6
well this is the thing innit. it's not like we're playing catch up any more. we're just 2 points from top 6. just so happens we're not alone. someone has to break from the pack. obviously, all the other teams will be saying precisely that. if we stay injury/suspension free and keep pearson for the rest of the season - i don't see why not. for us to have been so $hite this season, and find ourselves only 2 points from top 6, is just mad.
Yep. One of is will - there's usually one or two sides that go in a very strong run in the final furlong of the season. Why not be us?
We're only two points off so as long as we win one more game than those above us we're in. The blunts and Bradford games will be pivotal.
