    You make a valid point, though. Unless those on short term contracts sign extensions and some of the loans either sign permanently or sign another loan deal, there's going to have to be an extremely busy transfer window.

    Staggering statistic. I get that we can only sign loans and frees and people like Smith, Mawson, Roberts etc need help....but surely the job of a head coach is to coach and develop your existing players. Is it me or has every one of our own players gone backwards under Johnson. Can anyone think of one single player who has got better?! I'm struggling....

    If LJ is sacked we will probably bring in a manager who would not touch the majority of these players with a barge pole. I wouldn't blame Jackson for going somewhere he is appreciated, I'm sure Wabara could get a more attractive team, Smith will not come back without regular starts, Pearson and Wilkinson are not good enough so we'll hopefully get rid and I can't see any other of the loanees making much more of an impact than Stewart, Kiwomya & Trotta.

    Our academy kids aren't deemed good enough, hence why we go back on our word of not being reliant on loans, by filling the squad with inexperienced youngster of other clubs rather than our own.

    The cynic in me (99% of me) wonders whether the club is signing all these short term players to get us through tot he transfer window then sack Lee Johnson allowing a new guy a fres h start without having to mutual termination 50 players like we usually do
