Buy ticket for Palace, get ticket for Leicester free (or for a couple of quid). Thus getting folks to 2 games instead of one.
I wish I was marketing manager down there At least I'd a) show some imagination and b) look at good practice at other clubs c) consult the fans
The poor club cant do owt right so even slashing ticket prices for the last and probably crucial home game is still doing it wrong give em a break - I think what they have done is excellent
The club would get same income though I'm a ST holder & I'd just be happy that we get folks in the ground to cheer us to safety. My suggestion is that we take the equivalent money ie. buy a ticket (close to Full price) for Palace & get the Leicester for nowt / next to nowt. The club gets roughly the same income but is just encouraging a commitment over 2 games instead of 1. By attracting more folks over 2 games they also get additional sales.
No they have got the right idea ... they just should've spread it over the 2 games - so that fans commit to 2 games to get the "discount" - club gets same income over 2 games. Loads of other clubs have opted for this type of deal in preference to the one BFC is offering.
Club lose out on your scheme though for example in the ponty Palace £20 Leicester £0 total £20 clubs scheme Palace£20 leicester £10 total £30 so club £10 worse of per fan Also probably more chance of fans deciding at £10 its worth going to the last game - £20 for two is probably less attractive
