A big praise for the reds and MR today and even after a poor performance. The players were poor today no two ways about it but yet showed a never say die attitude. Our passing was just not on show today but the reds stuck at it and grounded out a terrific result, which to be honest would never have happened under Davey. How many times did we watch the reds go away from home keep the opposition out for an hour and then lose the game 2 or 3 nil. For all Donny’s possession in the middle of the park never once did I feel we were going to concede as all of their possession was in front of the back four, very rarely did they get behind our defence and have a good chance. Another praise for MR is that he did not wait till Donny scored the opener and then made a change, he does it when it’s needed and the substitutions helped us win the game I feel. Donny played some attractive stuff at times in the match but as soon as they got within shooting distance of our goal they were clueless. If you were to say to MR before the game the closest Donny are going to come to scoring is a looping header and a 25 yard shot which hits the bar Mr would have snatched your hand off! Even Man United would struggle to stop a 25 yard shot from hitting the bar! Nice interview from MR on Radio Sheffield after the match not bothered about how well Donny played just pleased to get the 3 points and that’s how I feel too. How good does it feel knowing you have not played well but still got a vital victory in the bag! Very impressed by MR so far keep up the good work! :)
