Yes,i watched this man Play for Birdwell Rovers,i went with him to HALFAX,i saw play at the Shay,i saw him play a blinder against MANUTD,when Halifax knocked them out of the FA Cup.......this man was a real footballer,he played each game the same,to win,he was not over skilfull,he was not Batter than any one,but no one was better than him,at playing the game Honest and true,he would Play the same on a Subday BOB a MAN on Rockley dam,as he would the day before at halifax,Then he started to play for the Team that signed him,LINCOLN CITY and that is where i saw him Play at Hillsboro I was sat in the OLD STAND,Lincoln were Kicking to wards Leppings lane,he recieved the Ball just inside the Wedbesday half proceede towards Goal beating man after man,and just outside the Penalty area smashed in a unsropable shot,GOAL,that brought down the house,But the best was yet to come..the saturday night GREEN UN..on the front page was a Cartoonist OLD SAM SEZ,there was a caricture of this player it said ,GRUMITT SHOT THE BALL ot went into the net like a PLUMMET........Now you would think any one to do that would be on Cloud 9 for days, wouldnt you?......well come with me back to those days,i was on afters at Pilley, and used to go for a game of snooker to BIRDWELL CLUBused to open at 10am every morning..i went in the club, and there sat on a sear behind the snooker table was the most unhappy looking man you ever seen,it is now Wednesday Morning. i say to him whats wrong, he was sulking, his family were all Owlites, including himself,,,no body said a nice word to him, because he scored that Goal,so next time you see a goal scored, just think what the scorer might have to go through...we dont want any Scunny players to suffer that do we.....thanks for reading.....

Bob - you are a God.

Can you start putting the line ''I'm afraid I was very drunk'' at the end of every story?

Pure class - as per usual cocker.
    Keep them coming.

I, for one, want to hear more about donkeys.

I used to work with Alan Grummit

He was a Birdweller and a big Barnsley fan - any relation?
