Ipswich 5 Barnsley 1. After that match I truly believed we'd had it. I called Simon Davey all the names under the sun, I said the players weren't fit to wear the shirt. Oh how I was wrong. getting hammered by Ipswich was the best thing that happened to us. Made the lads face up to a few home truths - Davey gave them a proper mouthful and looked what happened .. we won three on the bounce. Its kept us up.
